Hailing from Napa, CA, Body or Brain ride the line between emo rock and indie pop. Instead of wielding chain wallets, they wear bright pastels; they substitute teen angst for exuberant glee; and they barely use distortion pedals at all -- but all the while they maintain emo spirit, shouting high energetic nasal ditties that wouldn't feel too out of place at a Warped fest. Not long after forming the band in 2008, guitarist Jakey Lee (no relation to Ozzy's second guitarist, Jake E. Lee), bassist Robert Bradley, and drummer Taylor Hight released their first album, Second Star to the Right, with subsequent plans to tour and shoot videos for "I Am the Night" and their spirited single "1995 Is Still Alive." ~ Jason Lymangrover, All Music Guide
