Based out of Chicago, IL, Nebraska Franklin -- aka Bigg Nastee -- worked his way up in the local hip-hop scene throughout the mid-'90s and would have released a full-length in 1996 if it wasn't for his conflicts with the label Island Black Music. For the next three years, Nastee would eventually land gigs across the country -- notably in Los Angeles, Detroit, New York, and Miami -- and a chance to perform with such acts as the Wu Tang Clan, Too Short, Goodie Mob, Outkast, and Da Brat, among others. With all this experience under his belt, another deal came about through a division of Mercury Records in 1999, resulting in the release of My Life, Dreams and Feelings. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
