Big Sandy began his professional career in the early '90s, performing with his band (the Fly-Rite Trio) around the world. They released an eponymous album in 1991 and followed it up quickly with On the Go in 1992. But bad releasing schedules and the breakup of the band put Big Sandy on the back burner until 1998, when he released his first solo album.
