Betty and the Werewolves emerged in the early 2000s, wielding a sweet, fiery, gritty indie pop sound that nodded to indie pop outfits like Talulah Gosh, Lung Leg, and Dolly Mixture. The band formed in 2008, comprised of Laura Wolf, Emily Wolf, Helen Wolf, and Sir Dancelot Douglas Wolf, and built a strong following among indie pop aficionados on the strength of a handful of singles, compilations, and an appearance on the soundtrack of an independent film (Giles Borg's 1234). Their debut 7" single, Euston Station, was released on Damaged Goods (a label that featured the likeminded indie pop outfit Holly Golightly) in the summer of 2008. Another single, David Cassidy, was slated for release in February 2009. ~ Margaret Reges, All Music Guide
