Combining powerful bass grooves with ponderous drumming and inflamed guitar strains, Battery Apple succeed in proclaiming their own style on modern heavy metal ground. Disclosing raging creations and supporting them with a melodious background, Apple manages to reach unknown frontiers within the heaviest sound marks. The four-piece team formed in Baltimore in 1997, with Floppy (vocals), Dave DeMarco (bass), Barry Seiver (guitar), and Mac Cassity (drums). Following two years and numerous exciting live shows, the crew recorded their first disc, a self-titled album, in 1999. In that same year they secured a spot on the Vans Warped Tour and managed to play on the same stage as Sevendust, Suicidal Tendencies, and Blink 182. Two years after their debut release, Battery Apple recorded their second full-length, 6-Pack of Shame, which hit record stores in 2001. ~ Mario Mesquita Borges, All Music Guide
