Neo-psychedelic folkie Azalia Snail debuted in 1989 with Snailbait, later building upon her fanbase through a split single release with Sebadoh. For the Funky Mushroom label she recorded 1992's Burnt Sienna, with Deep Motif following on Mushroom in 1996. 1999's Soft Bloom came out on Dark Beloved Cloud. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
