Biography

RSS
Brooklyn electro rock collective Automatic Duo are comprised of Chance Drzewucki, Matt Walsh, David Andrew Moore, and a homemade synthesized gadget that Walsh plays and calls "the monster." "The blip bitch," as vocalist Drzewucki refers to it, is a web of samplers, mikes, and pedals daisy-chained by chords and cables that Walsh uses to capture and loop guitar, drums, and random toy instruments. Promoted as an indie electronic band, probably the most accurate sum-up of Automatic Duo's style, the group started drawing crowds and generating a buzz due to its lush sonic soundscapes and iPod shuffle attitude for changing genres from one song to the next. Impressed after catching the boys in action at a show in N.Y.C., indie label Hotel Records signed Automatic Duo and their first EP, Ai Neh Mah, was released, followed by their debut CD, Fake History for Outlandish Times, in 2008. ~ Jason Lymangrover, All Music Guide
