Interweaving rock, funk, and avant-garde jazz, the line-up of Artanker Convoy consists of Artanker (drums), Joe Fiorentino (bass), Chris Seeds (keyboard), Art Lavis (guitar), Jon Warren (percussion), and Jake Oas (sax). The history of the Brooklyn ensemble can be traced back to the early '90s, when Artanker had been working with future LCD Soundsystem member James Murphy in the short-lived Jinx Clambake Explosion, which Fiorentino joined just before the band broke up. With the assistance of the Social Registry, Artanker Convoy offered Mature Fantasy in early 2005 and Cozy Endings in mid-2007. ~ Kenyon Hopkin, All Music Guide
