Aram Danesh & the Super Human Crew are a multicultural band from the San Francisco Bay Area with a diverse style that draws from rock, funk, jazz, hip-hop, reggae, and various Latin musics. Born in pre-revolutionary Iran, bandleader/guitarist Danesh grew up in Europe and moved to the United States in 1984. Other bandmembers of the Super Human Crew include Sam Bevan (bass), Adam Goodhue (drums), and Jason Moen (keyboards), plus vocalists Keith Pinto, Dan Wolf, Carlos Aguire, and Tommy Shepherd; former bandmembers include Sean Nelson (drums), Christian Boyd (keyboards), and many other occasional contributors. Danesh & the Super Human Crew made their recording debut in 2005 with The Spot, a self-released album featuring a cover of Bebel Gilberto's "Mais Feliz." Their second album, The Grind (2008), was released by Mammoth Records and features Bay Area rap favorite Gift of Gab of Blackalicious. ~ Jason Birchmeier, All Music Guide
