Azusa, CA-based singer, pianist, and songwriter Andrea Hamilton began writing songs in high school, attending classes and workshops with songwriters on the Nashville Christian scene, and one of her first efforts at a song ended up earning a Top 20 slot in the New Worship Songs of the Year category at the 2002 GMA conference. Hamilton went on to earn a B.A. in Music from Azusa Pacific University, toured Asia in 2006, then self-booked a West Coast tour in true indie style upon her return to the U.S. She has co-written material with a whole host of writers, including James Grey, Micah Dahlberg, Kevin Fisher, Leah Andreone, and Alan Waddington, among others, and has self-released several collections, beginning with 2006's Stronger Than I Seem, followed by 2007's Live at Safe Haven and the Only Love EP and the full-length Deciding What to Keep in 2008. ~ Steve Leggett, All Music Guide
