Singer/songwriter Ana Mercedes was born and raised in New Jersey, but later settled down in Miami, FL. Inspired by her Latin ancestors and influenced by well-known singers such as Tex-Mex performer Selena and Chilean pop balladist Myriam Hernández, Ana Mercedes started singing easy listening songs in Spanish and released her first album, called Natural, in the year 2000. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
