Granddaughter of famous Mexican entertainer Mario Montes, daughter of Tejano music legend Roberto Pulido, and sister of popular Bobby Pulido, singer Alma Pulido was raised in the U.S. and got involved in show business at a young age. She made her debut with a self-titled album in 1997, winning the Tejano Rising Star at the Tejano Music Awards in 1998.
