New York City-based singer/songwriter Alex Nackman self-released his debut album, Good Impressions, at the age of 20 in 2003 and began touring to support it, eventually opening for such acts as the Roots, Norah Jones, Buddy Guy, Glen Phillips, the Pat McGee Band, and Ari Hest. His concert work was chronicled on a live EP, Stages, released in 2004. His second full-length album, A Boy Who Thought He Knew, was released by Long Road Records in 2005. It was followed in 2006 by Sunrise Falls, an album that included tracks used on MTV's The Hills in March 2007 and on Real World Denver in May 2007. Nackman's fourth album, Still Life Moves, appeared on March 4, 2008. ~ William Ruhlmann, All Music Guide
