Award-winning Australian country artist Adam Brand was born in Perth and reared in Victoria. He took up the drums at the age of ten, left home for a life on the road selling leather belts with his uncle at 16, and landed back in Perth a few years later to start a band. After relocating to Sydney in 1998, Brand released his eponymous debut album for Flying Nun Records. Built for Speed and Get Loud followed, with his latest, What a Life, arriving in 2006. ~ James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide
