A Switerland-based hip-hop outfit from Bern, 6er Gascho released their first mix tape at the dawn of the 21st century. While the tape only sold a few copies around their home turf, their nationwide touring garnered enough attention to make an official debut EP, Schawarz uf Wiss (Black on White), possible in 2005. 2006 found the collective release their debut full-length, Itz Oder Nie (Now or Never) in March of 2006. The lead single from said album was a hit, and the band played to large festivals in 2007. In addition to their big gigs that year, 6er Gascho released their second album in 2007, Jugendstil (Youth Style), which cracked the Swiss top twenty. ~ Chris True, All Music Guide
