Born and raised in Texas, Grace Phipps is an actress best known for her performances in The Vampire Diaries, The Nine Lives of Chloe King, and Teen Beach Movie. Phipps majored in musical theater at the North East School of the Arts and Robert E. Lee High School, and moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting professionally after graduating in 2010. After landing roles in Fright Night and The Nine Lives of Chloe King, in 2012 she was cast as The Vampire Diaries' April Young, a recurring character that debuted on the show's fourth season. That year, she was also cast as Lela, a '60s starlet in the Disney Channel's time-traveling musical Teen Beach Movie; the movie's soundtrack entered the Billboard 200 chart at number eight in July 2013, while singles including "Cruisin' for a Bruisin'" and "Falling for Ya" topped Billboard's Kid Digital charts for weeks. ~ Heather Phares, Rovi
