The Los Angeles Gospel Messengers were formed by the legendary James A. Cleveland in the autumn of 1982; comprised of young people from churches throughout the L.A. area, the ensemble made its concert debut on January 31, 1983, releasing their self-titled debut album soon after. In the wake of Cleveland's death on February 9, 1991, the L.A. Gospel Messengers forged on, honoring their founder's memory with the live We Haven't Forgotten You. ~ Jason Ankeny, Rovi
