The religous troubador Jim Cole grew up in Lebanon, Ohio, where he got his first guitar at a shop that sold paint and wallpaper as well as instruments. Perhaps he might have been on his way to a career playing muzak, or so-called "wallpaper music." But following his conversion to Christianity in the summer of 1974, he decided to involve his new faith in his music, or vice-versa, but minus the vice. He has become a popular performer in contemporary Christian music and has scored such popular radio singles in the genre as "Light Of The World" and "Shepherd Of All Who Wander". ~ Eugene Chadbourne, Rovi
