El Chalinillo is a popular banda singer from Sinaloa who signed with Univision regional Mexican subsidiary Disa Records after years of success in his homeland on smaller labels such as Pueblos Unidos. Born Ambrosio Cano in Jacola, Sinaloa, he began singing professionally as a teenager and adopted the name El Chalinillo in homage to Chalino Sánchez, one of his musical heroes. Some of El Chalinillo's more memorable recordings include the songs "Al Misma Nivel," "Hasta Le Pregunta Ofende," "Si Yo No Te Tengo a Ti," "Al Ritmo de la Lluvias," "Amor Que Nace," "Las Lluvias," "Celoso," "La Novia Fea," "Solo los Tontos," "Fijate," "Te Quiero," "Venadito," and "Mientras Viva."
