Producer, remixer, and DJ Daniel Desnoyers emerged as Quebec's premier dance music tastemaker via his series of hit compilation CDs as well as a hit syndicated radio program. Desnoyers first earned widespread notice in 1993 as a veejay for French Canadian music television network MusiquePlus. After years of spinning records at clubs across North America and Europe, in 1999 he founded his own D-Noy Muzik label to begin releasing his own compilation series, the multi-volume DanseXpress. In addition to his four-year stint hosting the syndicated radio show Le Beat, which also spawned its own mix CD series, Desnoyers re-entered the video market in 2002 with Radioactif 1, an interactive DVD combining techno music with accompanying images. ~ Jason Ankeny, Rovi
