Born in New Jersey and raised in California, Silena Murrell showed artistic talent from an early age, soloing frequently at her church and performing in musicals before she left her home to attend college. As well as completing her undergraduate degree, Murrell seriously pursued music, which paid off after graduation. Her first single, "I Like My Man Hard," produced by Scott Storch, hit the airwaves in 2006 and was included on the promotional soundtrack for writer Lolita Files' Sex.Lies.Murder.Fame, and soon after, "Bring It Home" was released. ~ Marisa Brown, Rovi
