Alexia is a teenage Latin pop singer and actress from Miami, FL, whose debut single, "Cartas de Amor," was a breakout hit in 2009. Born Alexia Gonzalez, she began her career at age eight and established herself in a series of stage musicals. Her big break came in 2008 at age 15 when she appeared as a character in the Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS) television series Gabriel: Amor Inmortal starring Latin pop singer and actor Chayanne. Though her role in the vampire-themed series was minimal, she made her commercial recording debut on the soundtrack Gabriel: Amor Inmortal (2008) alongside Latin music superstars such as Chayanne, La 5a Estacion, Calle 13, Gustavo Cerati, and Gilberto Santa Rosa.
