Biography

New wave revivalists ¿¡The Maximals!? are Rèa Curran, a member of Duke Special's backup band, and Eamonn McCarron, an instrumentalist and songwriter who has worked in both New York City and his native Ireland. After founding ¿¡The Maximals!? in Derry, Ireland, the duo recorded an EP with producer Neal Calderwood and received praise by both Duke Special and John O'Neill of the Undertones. In addition to fans in their home country, the group also developed a following in New York City (thanks to McCarron's contacts) and Geneva. ~ Katherine Fulton, All Music Guide
