Citing concerns over the incidence of SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) in Toronto, singer Michelle Branch has canceled an upcoming tour date in Toronto. According to House of Blues Canada, Branch's May 30 concert at the Guvernment nightclub has been called off. The show will be rescheduled as Branch plans on returning to Toronto as soon as possible. Refunds are available at points of purchase.

Warren Haynes (Gov't Mule, Allman Brothers), Richard Thompson, and the Indigo Girls are among the latest acts confirmed to appear at the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival. The 13th annual three-day event in Lyons, Colo., will take place Aug. 15-17, and, as previously reported, will feature Norah Jones headlining on Aug. 16.

Stroke-Stricken Vandross Has Tracheotomy

Veteran soul balladeer Luther Vandross, described as barely conscious two weeks after suffering a stroke, has undergone a tracheotomy to fight off pneumonia, according to his business manager. The procedure was done in a way that did not affect the singer's vocal chords. Vandross remains in intensive care at Weill Cornell Medical Center of New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
