As first tipped here in July, Elton John has signed on for a three-year, 75-show run at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. John's engagement kicks off Feb. 13 in the theater, built to accommodate a lavish Celine Dion production that will call the venue home for at least three years.
OutKast, Shania Twain, Pharrell, matchbox twenty and Kid Rock will perform at VH1's "Big in '03" comedy/variety show celebration of the year in pop culture. The show will be taped Nov. 20 at Los Angeles' Universal Amphitheater and air Nov. 30 on VH1.

Nelson Mandela today (Oct. 21) in London launched a global initiative to raise awareness of the devastating impact of AIDS/HIV in Africa. Part of the campaign is a Nov. 29 concert at Greenpoint Stadium in Cape Town, featuring performances by Beyonce, U2's Bono, Moloko, Anastacia, Queen, and the Eurythmics.
