Crosby Loggins, "Seriously"

Crosby Loggins' recently released debut album, "Time To Move," features the affecting pop/rock single "Seriously." The singer/songwriter's inviting vocals breathe life over a pleasing piano theme -- one that ups the voltage on the chorus with a pulsing guitar that crashes into keys and drums. Loggins has a classic tone not unlike that of his father, Kenny Loggins, with a touch of James Taylor and Phil Collins. But there's also a modern quality to it that recalls John Mayer. Hitmakers Jess Cates, Kara DioGuardi and Emanuel Kiriakou join Loggins in writing the track, crafting a song that should appeal to fans of One Republic and The Fray. John Alagia, who has produced chart-toppers for Mayer, Dave Matthews, and Jason Mraz, delivers a framework that should help "Seriously" find a solid audience and help turn Loggins into an artist in demand. --Michael Menachem
