Phoenix: 2012 Album Preview

The French rockers will return in the second half of 2012 with the follow-up to their fourth album, 2009's "Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix," which spawned two top 10 hits on Billboard's Rock Songs tally ("Lisztomania," "1901") and won a Grammy Award for best alternative music album. According to Glassnote Records founder Daniel Glass, Phoenix ( @wearephoenix) has completed the framework for four songs expected to appear on the set, which is on track for a late-summer release, with a lengthy tour to follow in the fall. "It's very hard to beat Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, but this could be revolutionary," Glass says of the new material.
