Hot Tours: James Taylor and Carole King, Cher, Lady Gaga
Ask Billboard: Readers' Favorite Charted Odd Couples

With $7.4 million in ticket sales reported from four venues, James Taylor and Carole King's Troubadour Reunion Tour, currently on the road in North America, is this week's No. 1 Hot Tour. Totals from Australian arenas in Brisbane and Sydney and two venues in the U.S. were reported during the past week giving the legendary American singers their top ranking. Brisbane Entertainment Centre (March 31-April 1) and Sydney Entertainment Centre (April 5-6) were part of the tour's Australian leg that began back in March. Two-show appearances in both of those markets drew over 33,500 fans. Following Australia the tour continued through New Zealand and Japan and on to North America with a May 7 kick-off in Portland. Included in this week's totals are grosses from two recent North American venues, the Chicago area's Allstate Arena (May 24) and St. Paul's Xcel Energy Center (May 25). Both arenas hosted sellout crowds.

Reported during the past week by Concerts West/AEG Live were Cher's May box office grosses from The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas where she has performed as a resident artist at various times during the past two years. The reported May grosses give the veteran singer/actress the No. 2 ranking this week. Adding May's $4.9 million in ticket sales totals, her two-year Colosseum gross total currently sits at $70,637,459 with 493,656 tickets sold.

Lady Gaga earns the No. 3 ranking this week based on totals reported by the same two Australian venues that hosted James Taylor and Carole King, Brisbane Entertainment Centre and Sydney Entertainment Centre. The pop star's Monster Ball Tour played Aussie venues in March and April including these two arenas with sales topping $4.5 million from five performances. The Sydney shows were on March 17-18 and April 7. Brisbane dates were March 26-27.
