Rod Stewart Expecting Seventh Child at 65
Rod Stewart

Veteran rocker Rod Stewart stands atop the Hot Tours list for the second week in a row with box office totals reported from another stop on his summer European trek. With 26,500 tickets sold for three performances at the Scottish Exhibition & Conference Centre in Glasgow (July 23-24, 26), the combined gross from all three nights totaled £1.6 million. The 25-year-old convention center was the tour's fifth U.K. concert venue during the month of July. Earlier reported shows included outdoor performances in Edinburgh and Inverness, Scotland and arena dates in Sheffield and Liverpool.

Winterbeatz 2010, an urban music tour in Australia featuring Ne-Yo, T-Pain, Big Boi and Fatman Scoop, as well as other local Aussie artists, played arenas in four markets during July. Box office stats from two of those venues were reported during the past week giving the tour the No. 2 spot on this week's tally. The grosses from Acer Arena in Sydney (July 28) and Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne (July 29) totaled more than $1.6 million ($1.5 million US), and combined attendance from both cities surpassed 16,000.

Adding the Brisbane Entertainment Centre's box office totals that were reported the previous week, the overall gross tops $2 million from the first three dates on the tour.

German heavy metal band Scorpions land at No. 3 in the rankings with concert totals at two California venues reported by promoter AEG Live. Attendance was 5,512 at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario for a July 29 performance, and NOKIA Theatre L.A. Live hosted a sellout crowd of 6,882 just two days later. Scorpions are currently on the road supporting the March release of its most recent album titled Sting in the Tail. It is also the band's final album, if one were to believe an announcement from the band from January which stated that they would retire at the conclusion of their current tour.
