Hot Tours: Bob Seger, Guns N' Roses, Joe McElderry

The legendary Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band lead the latest pack of Hot Tours with box office grosses reported from just one performance...at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Tickets ranged from $45 to a top price of $250 for the sold out concert on Dec. 28th that drew 14,465 fans. The $1,280,490 in ticket sales revenue was tops among the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer's single-show dates last year, but his highest reported gross in 2011 came from a three-show run in his hometown of Detroit. The sold out concerts on May 17, 19 and 21 at the Palace of Auburn Hills drew a total of 47,632 fans with ticket sales topping $3.3 million.

Guns N' Roses wrapped its 2011 tour with concerts on Dec. 30th and New Year's Eve at The Joint, the 4,000-seat music venue located in the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. The two-show gross total of $707,231 gives front man Axl Rose and the band the second place ranking on the Hot Tours tally. The Vegas shows drew almost 7,000 fans for both nights, closing out the band's fall U.S. tour schedule that kicked off on Oct. 28th in Orlando.

English pop singer Joe McElderry scores a third place ranking this week with grosses reported from his tour through U.K. concert venues during November. With grosses of £421,219 (US$665,833), McElderry, the 2009 winner of the sixth season of The X Factor, played to more than 16,000 fans in 15 cities, including two appearances at the City Hall in Newcastle with shows on Nov. 17 and 29. Another Englishman, Morrissey, follows as this week's fourth highest-grossing touring artist with ticket counts reported from three sold put concerts in California during November. The veteran singer/songwriter played at two venues in Los Angeles - the Music Box on the 23rd and Shrine Auditorium on the 26th, followed by a Nov. 28th performance at the Fox Theater in Pomona.
