Hot Tours: Andre Rieu, Kenny Chesney & Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley
Andre Rieu

Dutch violinist and orchestra conductor André Rieu earns the No. 1 ranking on this week's Hot Tours chart with box office grosses reported from his concert performances in European arenas during April and May as well as a series of shows in Brazil in June. The European spring tour leg began on April 20 with two concerts in Denmark, followed by performances in 12 venues in Germany and Austria through May 17. Then on May 29, Rieu, along with and his Johann Strauss Orchestra, kicked off a string of 12 concerts in São Paulo, Brazil at Ginásio do Ibirapuera. Show dates at the 11,000-seat arena were May 29 through June 3 and June 5 through 10 with a total of 83,281 tickets sold for all 12 nights. The overall gross for the run was over R$18.1 million Brazilian reais ($9.1 million US$) with tickets ranging from a low of R$100 to a top price of R$800 (approximately $50 to $400 in US$). Rieu will return to the same São Paulo arena in July to perform another 12-show run from July 3 through 15.

Kenny Chesney lands at No. 2 among this week's top 10 tours with $5.5 million in ticket sales reported from a performance in the home venue of the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles. The Brothers of the Sun Tour, on which he joined by special guest Tim McGraw along with Grace Potter & The Nocturnals and Jake Owen played to a sellout crowd at Lincoln Financial Field on June 16 with attendance logged at 53,111. This is the fifth Chesney tour to play at the Philadelphia stadium since 2007, and the top grosser, surpassing last year's total by $457,000.

Third in the weekly Hot Tours recap is country star Brad Paisley with $4.4 million in box office grosses reported from performances at three outdoor venues on his Virtual Reality 2012 World Tour. Included in this week's tally is his first stadium date on the tour, a sold out show at Chicago's Wrigley Field on June 9 with a crowd of 37,889 in attendance.
