Hot Tours: Roger Waters, Kenny Chesney & Tim McGraw, Vans Warped Tour

Legendary rocker Roger Waters is No. 1 in this week's Hot Tours recap with $26.9 million in box office grosses reported from the final North American leg of the blockbuster The Wall Live Tour that wraps later this month. This week's tally includes the 16 performances that occurred during June, beginning with the June 3 concert at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul through the June 29 performance at Hartford's XL Center. The two top-grossing June concerts occurred at major league baseball stadiums with sellout crowds in attendance in both cities. On June 8 the tour played Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, with a total of 36,881 tickets sold. In Toronto on June 23, 40,328 fans filled the Rogers Centre, home venue of the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Brothers of the Sun Tour ranks second this week, grossing $8.3 million from more than 96,000 fans in attendance at two NFL football stadiums to see Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw with Grace Potter & the Nocturnals and Jake Owen. A June 30 concert in Pittsburgh at Heinz Field, home stadium of the Pittsburgh Steelers, drew a crowd of 53,325 to see the country music event. The following day at Cincinnati's Paul Brown Stadium, 42,716 were in attendance at the home venue of the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Vans Warped Tour lands at No. 3 among this week's top-grossing tours with ticket sales totals reported from four concerts in California on the 2012 summer trek that kicked off on June 16. This week's totals come from Orange County Great Park in Irvine (June 21), Fairplex Park in Pomona (June 22), San Francisco's AT&T Park (June 23) and Seaside Park in Ventura (June 24). Box office grosses totaled $2.2 million from 63,385 tickets at these four locations. The Warped Tour's outdoor multiple-act concerts are booked in North American amphitheaters, stadium and arena parking lots and other outdoor concert sites through early August.
