CMA Entertainer of the Year Brad Paisley tops the Hot Tours chart with the first totals reported from his H2O Frozen Over Tour that kicked off on Jan. 20 at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wis. From the tour's first seven venues, three in the U.S. and four in Canada, revenue exceeded $4 million from 61,000 tickets sold. The largest crowd was on Jan. 30 with 11,234 in attendance for a sold out performance at the 18,500-seat Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, Ontario. The best-attended U.S. arena among the January dates was the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Ind. with 8,219 tickets sold for a Jan. 21 sellout. Supporting acts for the tour are CMA award winner Darius Rucker and country singer/songwriter Jerrod Niemann. 2010 was a record-setting year on the road for Paisley with box office grosses topping $41.4 million from 67 dates with 891,345 fans in attendance. It also marked the third time he has ranked among Billboard's Top 25 Tours at the end of the year. (He also landed in the top 25 in 2009 and 2006.)

Legendary rock guitarist Carlos Santana comes in at No. 2 on Hot Tours with $1.3 million in gross sales from his most recent multi-show run at The Joint in the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Since 2009 Santana has appeared at the 4,000-seat venue for eight multi-night runs. This week's totals come from seven shows during early January (Jan. 5, 8-9, 12, 14-16) with 14,112 sold seats. Since the first 12-show stint in May 2009, box office ticket sales total more than $12.2 million. 122,690 fans have seen Santana during 62 performances at the Las Vegas concert hall since that first run.
