The Roots have drafted Nas, Wiz Khalifa and recent best new artist Grammy winner Esperanza Spalding for their fourth annual Roots Picnic concert, at hometown venue Festival Pier in Philadelphia, Pa.

Also on the bill for the June 4 event are recently reunited rock outfit the Dismemberment Plan, Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, Little Dragon, Man Man, Mac Miller, Yelawolf, Roots rapper Black Thought with J. Period, Nicos Gun and Donn T.

The Roots will play their own set during the show and also serve as the backing band for Nas, Wiz Khalifa and Spalding. Tickets go on sale Friday (March 4) through LiveNation.com.

Beyond hip-hop stalwarts like Nas and Wiz Khalifa, the lineup reflects the Roots' day job as the house band on NBC's "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," where the Dismemberment Plan and Ariel Pink have both performed in the past six weeks and subsequently received Twitter praise from Roots drummer Questlove.

Previous Roots picnics have sported performances from Public Enemy, the Black Keys, Gnarls Barkley, Vampire Weekend, TV On The Radio, Kid Cudi and Wu-Tang Clan members Method Man, Ghostface Killah and Raekwon.

In other Roots news, the group will perform Thursday alongside the Flaming Lips, Patti Smith and MIchael Stipe, Taj Mahal, Angelique Kidjo and Philip Glass at the annual Tibet House benefit concert at New York's Carnegie Hall.
