Pop singer Miranda Cosgrove has suffered a broken ankle after her tour bus was involved in an accident early Thursday morning (Aug. 11).
The crash occurred on I-70 in Illinois, outside the city of Vandalia. "There were 5 passengers on the bus, and Miranda suffered a broken ankle," reads a statement released by her publicist. "At this time, we are told everyone will be fine."
Cosgrove's injury has also forced her to postpone her upcoming U.S. tour dates "until further notice." The singer was scheduled to perform at Hartman Arena in Wichita, Kans. on Friday night.
Cosgrove, 18, is best known as the star of the hit Nickelodeon show "iCarly," and scored a hit with the show's theme song, "Leave It All To Me," in 2007. The singer released her debut album, "Sparks Fly," in 2010; the disc debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and has sold 209,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
