"Planet Pit" is coming to Seattle, thanks to the fourth annual Samsung AT&T Summer Krush free concert series. Pitbull, one of 2011's biggest crossovers to the mainstream, will close the Summer Krush 2011 season with a performance at Seattle's Paramount Theater on Sept. 16.
Kicking off a tour alongside Enrique Iglesias and Prince Royce just a few days later, Pitbull will perform not only for the Summer Krush audience on Sept. 16 but also for "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" viewers. Portions of his hour-long Seattle performance will air on the ABC late night show that same evening.
Doors open at 8 p.m. with Pitbull's performance kicking off at 10 p.m., and a limited number of tickets are available for free with registration at the Samsung AT&T Summer Krush website.
Luke Bryan kicked off the nine-city Summer Krush series in Nashville on July 20, followed up by Coldplay's high-profile UCLA gig on Aug. 3. Throughout the late summer, Krush has visited mostly 2,500-capacity venues in New York, Chicago and Dallas, with sets from Lenny Kravitz, rockers Bush and Chevelle, and the Band Perry, respectively. Cee Lo Green (Orlando on Sept. 7), the Avett Brothers (Atlanta on Sept. 9) and One Republic (San Francisco on Sept. 13) will wrap up the series before Pitbull's closing gig on the 16th.
In addition to hour-long performances, each event boasts interactive activities and a chance to win prizes, including the Samsung Infuse 4G and a Summer Krush-branded guitar.
