American Idols Live takes the second place ranking among the top ten Hot Tours with grosses reported from five eastern U.S. markets on the 2011 summer tour. Included in this week's recap is a $1 million total from Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., the top-grossing venue so far on this year's tour. Total attendance in Newark was 18,529 for concerts on Aug. 14 and 15. Since the tour launched in Salt Lake City on July 6, a total of 302,891 tickets have been sold at 34 performances totaling $16.3 million in gross sales.

Phish is No. 3 in this week's tally based on ticket sales totals from five sold out concerts in two venues. The band played at Harveys Outdoor Arena in Lake Tahoe, Nev. on Aug. 9-10, part of the casino's summer concert series, with 17,221 tickets sold for the two-show run. Three sellouts at the University of Illinois at Chicago's UIC Pavilion drew 27,476 fans on Aug. 15, 16 and 17, generating more than $1.5 million at the box office. Phish was also a headliner at the 4th annual Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival on Aug. 12, 13 and 14 with 60,000 in attendance each day at San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. Muse, Arcade Fire, the Shins, the Black Keys, Deadmau5 and many other bands were also on the bill at the three-day Bay Area music festival that grossed over $12 million.
