If you're going to be anywhere near San Francisco on Saturday, Oct. 15 and Sunday, Oct. 16 you probably already know that the Treasure Island Music Festival is the place to be. Celebrating its fifth year, the two-day fest is bringing over two-dozen great bands to the Bay, including Death Cab For Cutie, Empire of the Sun, The Hold Steady, Cut Copy, St. Vincent, and many more.
"Obviously each of the two days has a distinctive style and vibe: Saturday is electronic/DJ/underground hip hop and Sunday is indie rock leaning," says Jordan Kurland of TIMF promoters Noise Pop. "We try to program the festival so it is a good mix of established acts, up and comers, and local artists. The goal is to give the audience an amazing day of music while turning them on to a new artist or two or three." And is there anything special planned for this fifth anniversary year? "Indeed," hints Kurland. "But you'll have to come to the festival to find out."
We know you especially want to be there now, so we've got a pair of VIP two-day passes to give away to one lucky Billboard.com reader. Ready for your chance to win? Just fill in the form below by Oct. 12 at 1pm ET.
