As expected, Radiohead will head out on an extensive U.S. tour next year in support of their eighth album, "The King of Limbs." The group announced the first dates of its 2012 North American trek on Monday (Nov. 7).

The tour, which will feature ethereal indie rockers Other Lives as openers, will kick off Feb. 27 in Miami and continue into Texas, Missouri and Arizona through March. General tickets for the shows will go on sale this Saturday, with more dates to be announced soon.

The tour dates mark the first prolonged U.S. trek for Radiohead since its 2008 tour supporting seventh album "In Rainbows." Since its February release, "The King of Limbs" has sold 268,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The band has since made appearances on "The Colbert Report" and "Saturday Night Live," and performed a pair of shows at New York's Roseland Ballroom last month.
