Smith, Third Day, and Toby McKeehan were the big winners at the Gospel Music Association's 33rd annual Dove Awards, handed out last night (April 25) at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. Smith won six Doves, including artist of the year, an honor he also collected in 1999. He also won praise and worship album of the year for his Reunion album, "Worship," and the instrumental album honor for "Freedom."
Korn has nailed down the venues for the first 15 North American dates of a planned eight week summer tour, which, as previously reported, will kick off June 20 in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Puddle Of Mudd and Deadsy are slated as the tour's opening acts. Tickets for six of the shows go on sale Saturday (April 27).

Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, the effervescent, sometimes volatile rapping member of the Grammy-winning R&B trio TLC, was killed last night (April 25) in a car crash in Honduras, her record company said. Lopes, who would have turned 31 next month, was in the Central American nation for a vacation, according to an Arista Records spokesperson.
The next album effort from rap mogul Sean "P. Diddy" Combs will be a remix compilation titled "P. Diddy & Bad Boy Records Present ... We Invented the Remix," due May 14 from Bad Boy/Arista. The 14-track set will include previously unavailable remixes of songs by the likes of Ashanti, Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans, the Notorious B.I.G., and Combs himself.
Actress Gina Gershon ("Showgirls," "Face/Off") will star in the film "Prey for Rock & Roll" as the leader of an all-girl band trying to make it big in the Los Angeles rock'n'roll scene. The film also stars Jennifer Esposito ("Don't Say A Word"), Jane Adams ("The Anniversary Party"), Shelly Cole ("Gilmore Girls), and Marc Blucas ("We Were Soldiers"), and veteran rocker Joan Jett as herself.
Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes died in a place that she loved. For years, the 30-year-old member of the Grammy-winning trio TLC would escape to her condo on Honduras' northern coast, attending a nearby healing village and returning "spiritually cleansed," her publicist said today (April 26).
