2001 - Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic file a countersuit against Courtney Love. The case involves the release of material by Nirvana. The suit is in response to an action Love filed earlier that claims Nirvana's contract with Universal Music Group is void and that all rights pertaining to the band revert to her.
George Clinton filed an innocent plea to drug charges yesterday (Dec. 11) in Tallahassee, Fla., according to court records. The funk pioneer's lawyer, Tim Jansen, filed the plea and the case was assigned to Circuit Judge Thomas Bateman. No trial date has been set. Jansen didn't return a call for comment.
Modern punk acts Simple Plan and MxPx will co-headline a winter tour that will feature a total of four bands on all dates. Sugarcult is on board for the entire trek, which kicks off Jan. 26 in Kansas City, Mo. The tour will be sponsored by music video channel Fuse.

Singer k.d. lang will give two performances next summer to passengers on a special cruise presented by lesbian-themed travel company Olivia. The Boston-to-Montreal itinerary is scheduled for July 3-10, and will follow a mass wedding ceremony in Boston.
