The Roots Channel Drake, R. Kelly While Rapping Super Bowl Tweets on 'Tonight Show'
Super Bowl 50 is this Sunday, so The Tonight Show obviously got in the spirit for Thursday night's (Feb. 4) episode. A few lucky Twitter users got their #SuperBowlRaps tweets performed on TV by the legendary Roots, with the Philly crew providing original music for user-submitted puns and covering a few well-known classics, too.
While talking about guacamole, chicken wings and other Super Bowl staples, the Roots channeled R. Kelly's "Ignition (Remix)" and Drake's "Hotline Bling." The latter is the subject of its very own Super Bowl ad, with T-Mobile scoring the phone-centric song for its Game Day commercial.
