Jamie XX has dropped a suitably gobsmacking video for his track “Gosh.”

Directed by Romain Gavras (Kanye West, Jay-Z, M.I,A., Justice) and featuring a cast of more than 400 actors, “Gosh” is a visual feast which tackles themes of atrophy, screen addiction and conformity in a grey, dystopian world.

Jamie xx Marks the No. 1 Spot on Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart

Gavras stages his story with great effect in the Chinese town of Tianducheng, a Paris replica (complete with a faux-Eiffel Tower) which has resembled a ghost town since its construction began in 2007. According to Jamie's peeps, there's no digital tricky in the final cut.

“Gosh” is the opening track to Jamie xx’s debut 2015 solo album In Colour, which earned the artist multiple Brit Award and Ivor Novello nominations and peaked at No. 21 on the Billboard 200.

The mesmerising video premiered on Apple Music and can now be seen below via Vimeo.
