Deadmau5 performs on Treasure Island at the Treasure Island Music Festival on Oct. 17, 2015 in San Francisco.

Ahead of Friday night's (May 20) release of the full Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas lineup, deadmau5 took to Twitter to deny any possibility of him headlining the three-day festival.

EDC founder Pasquale Rotella took issue with the mau5's tweet, provoking a hostile reaction from the DJ, much to the delight of Twitter-beef-hungry denizens.

Though the argument could have easily escalated, deadmau5 and Rotella ended the exchange somewhat respectfully, officially squashing the short spat and putting to rest rumors of deadmau5's appearance at the sold-out festival.

Meanwhile, dance music fans waiting to buy tickets for deadmau5-free EDC Las Vegas have officially lost their chance -- unless they're willing to shell out extra for one of a limited number of VIP passes to the three-day fest.
