AlunaGeorge Teams Up With ZHU for Passionate New Track 'My Blood'
AlunaGeorge has been preparing its highly anticipated sophomore release, and now the duo has teamed up with ZHU for a new track called "My Blood," which premiered Wednesday (April 27) on Zane Lowe's Beats 1.
"My Blood" combines slow, sensual, hip-hop-influenced beats with Aluna Francis' sensual vocals, seducing ears with lines about a love who walked away. ZHU makes his mark with wailing effects that echo Francis' pain.
Francis said on the show that she was inspired to make a song with the mysterious producer after hearing his hit song "Faded," immediately hitting the Internet to track him down. "I was like, 'I don’t care if we don’t know who he is. I’m going to find him.' I was such a geek," she said, as they met later on when they were playing at the same festival.
ZHU also previously collaborated with AlunaGeorge for "Automatic" from his Genesis Series EP last September, which was packed with collaborations with other artists such as Gallant, Skrillex and BoneThugs-N-Harmony.
There is no officially release date for AlunaGeorge's new album, but it is expected for later in 2016.
