Coroner Identifies Man Who Died at Electric Daisy Carnival
Medical examiners have identified the man who died at this past weekend's Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas as 24-year-old Nicholas Austin Tom of San Francisco.
The Clark County Coroner's Office placed Tom's time of death at 3:25 a.m. on Sunday, local Fox affiliate KVVU reports. His cause of death remains pending.
Tom was one of seven people transported to area hospitals on the second night of the festival, according to earlier reports.
The three-night 2015 edition of mega dance festival EDC was held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and expected to draw 135,000 revelers per day. Temperatures reached 111 degrees on Saturday; complementary water stations were available at the event.
Last year's EDC had three festival-related deaths reported in a Coroner's report following the event.
