"House, techno, & love” -- that’s the ethos behind West Coast collective Desert Hearts: a band of longtime friends who have taken their love of dance music and transformed it into a biannual camping festival outside of San Diego.

Inspired by the principles of Burning Man, they’ve fostered a niche community around their grassroots, underground-favoring experience. With 72-straight hours of house and techno and a single stage, Desert Hearts has established an inclusive concept that relies heavily on audience engagement.

The whole point of Desert Hearts is to spread love through music and community,” said Desert Hearts founder Mikey Lion. “We've tapped into something that's extremely special and our family continues to grow.”

After a successful excursion on the East Coast last fall, Desert Hearts are once again taking their show on the road with their newly announced City Hearts Summer of Love Tour. During the months of July and August, the crew will venture to Los Angeles, Denver, Brooklyn, Toronto and more, bringing their intimate festival experience to urban spaces.

“City Hearts is our way of sharing this message of love with the rest of the world,” Mikey Lion said.

The tour will serve as a showcase of the collective’s core members, with DJs Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Marbs, Porkchop, and Deep Jesus set to perform. Further special guest artists will also be announced.
