LaDainian Tomlinson is more than an NFL star -- he's a YouTube sensation thanks to "LT Slide Electric Glide," an '80s-inspired dance video that surfaced online this week but was shot over two years ago, when the San Diego Chargers' running back did a commercial for Nike.
Tomlinson demonstrates each step in a classic white suit and shades combo, and the moves are inspired by what he does every Sunday during football season: "Catch that Pass," "Stiff Arm the Guys," "Pick Up the Blitz" and "Wave to Your Mama...She's in the Crowd" are some highlights. Naturally, though, the "LT Slide Electric Glide" tops them all.
Since Nike leaked the video, Tomlinson has hinted at a possible remix version featuring defensive coordinator Ron Rivera. Rivera played on the 1985 championship-winning Chicago Bears, but we prefer to remember him for another old-school jock jam classic, the "Super Bowl Shuffle." That snazzy number, recorded by what was officially referred to as the Chicago Bears Shufflin' Crew, went all the way to No. 41 on the Billboard Hot 100.
You can't make this stuff up.
