Jack White says the White Stripes may reemerge as an active band soon. White thinks his bandmate Meg White has beaten her issues with anxiety, which forced the duo to cancel their last world tour in September 2007.
Christina Aguilera is set to release her long-awaited comeback album "Bionic" on June 8, but she'll be debuting some new material live on the MTV Movie Awards two nights earlier. Aguilera's June 6 appearance will be her first on the awards show since 2006.
Florence and the Machine used its sold-out European tour opener in Dublin as the opportunity to unveil a new song from the band's highly-anticipated follow-up to "Lungs." She described the new song, "Strangeness and Charm," as "about seven minutes long and pretty relentless."
D.A. Pennebaker, the director of such classic rock documentaries as "Don't Look Back" and "Monterey Pop," will oversee the YouTube broadcast of a live concert by The National. The Brooklyn performance, a benefit for the Red Hot Organization, will feature numerous special guests.
