Have you ever watched a video on YouTube that was fairly amusing -- and then watched a music remix of the same video that you can't get out of your head?
From the "Slap Chop" infomercial to the "Double Rainbow" phenomenon, more online videoclips are being used to make catchy songs than ever before. Now they're even cracking the pop charts, with the Gregory Brothers' infectious "Bed Intruder Song"
"Double Rainbow Song" & "Bed Intruder Song" By The Gregory Brothers
YouTube Views: 7.2 million/10.9 million
With these two clips, the Gregory Brothers became the kings of viral video remixes. Paul "Yosemite Bear" Vasquez's excitable reaction to a "double rainbow" was mesmerizing enough in his hit viral video, but the Brooklyn band made an equally inescapable clip by adding some auto-tune. The group then took Alabama native Antoine Dodson's TV news interview about the attempted rape of his sister, Kelly, and fashioned a pop track so catchy that it's sold 30,000 downloads thus far.
